A new customiser

Just came across Praiter Yed over on flickr, he has got some kuhl custom decals on his minifigs... which are star wars themed, which is even better (yey!). I look forward to seeing what he does next (o:

Halloween has come early

Although this is a re-edited and re-posted image from KWG73 it is certainly worth a mention (o: Plus, there is a link in the description to a page which helps to explain how to fit LEDs to minifigures. That's something I have always wanted to have a go at but have never gotten around to.

Hello Tom Leech!

How did I miss you?  Pop over to Tom Leech's photostream for some of the best custom minifigs I have seen for a while... here are some examples.

Here is the man himself...^

Awesome hair here ^ (o:

 I love the face here ^ (o:

There are lots more.... go now, check them out!

For a limited time...

That's right, I am going to take up to 10 requests from people to make some custom Lego minifigures. I will be charging around £10/20 per figure depending on what is involved (special parts, many working hours etc). I will have a go at creating most things but figures based on things I am interested would be easier (but I am not limiting myself to that). This is to help me to generate some cash to go towards a special project and also to help spark my creativity. If you are interested please drop me an email or Flickr mail. I only want to hear from serious buyers as I am not going to spend hours making a figure which then remains unsold. I tend to use waterslide decals and paint along with stock Lego pieces to create my customs, please see my flickr photostream for more examples of my work.

By the power of Grayskull!

Check out this awesome custom He-Man lego minifigure by Lil grizzle. He custom designed the armour and weapons himself, which is pretty awesome if you ask me. I love to see pushing themselves to create Lego minifigures.

Spartan custom

Not quite sure how I missed this... KalSkirata has tried to make a custom spartan (which I am told is from Halo... although I have never played Halo, so I wouldn't know how close this looks to the original) using just parts made by Lego, which have been modified. I like the overall look of the figure, particularly the worn effect on the armour.

And some other pictures which caught my eye...

This little scene made me chuckle... thanks Pedro Vezini!  Although not strictly a custom here certainly worth a mention (o:

Quite a nice little Dr Who custom here.... although to me the hair says 11th and the suit says 10th... this comes from Brickdon

I wish they would have listened to Master Yoda... thanks Lego.Skrytsson. This helps to explain my HUGE disappointment with the 2011 Lego Star Wars advent calendar... Santa Yoda!?!  and that's just for starters... I wont post the other contents incase you dont want spoilers but for me, they have got them totally wrong and I will not be getting one! (I can't believe I am saying it... I love Lego Star Wars, really a lot. I was massively excited by the announcement of the calendar but I almost cried when I heard about the contents. Buck your ideas up Lego!) oooh... I'm starting to rant.... but, they need to check their pricings on new Lego Star Wars sets too... far too expensive! Right, I'm done (o:

Some new pictures

It's mini round-up time again...

Have a look at "The Patrick Avengers" by Karf Oohlu. If you like your lego a bit weird but very funny check out Karf's flickr photostream... I love it (o:

and from Fine Clonier (Jared Burkes) comes this awesome Tomar-Re minifig. It's really good to see his photostream getting more active again. Jared is an awesome customiser... one of the very best. Check his ant man projects which he recently posted - very kuhl customising.

I'm a sucker for Dr Who

and Billbobful has captured the Raggedy Doctor pretty well here... the electrical tape is a nice touch and the painting is quite neat too.

Saturday's custom round up

Quite a neat little custom here from ExoBrick, I like the parts combo he has used here and the custom gun.

Not strictly customs here... but I love Mythbusters (o: These two come courtesy of pixbymaia.

I'm so slow... I saw Pecovam's latest customs a few days ago but didn't have time to post. I love this Ripley figure in particular but the other couple are awesome too.

More custom minifigs

Nice sculpy hair on this Custom Rose Tyler minifig from Billbobful and the painting isn't too bad either.

Here is another minifig, thanks to Blackopps42, with some kinda rough painting but not a bad overall effect. I like the arm/hand detailling, which I am assuming is tape(?)

And lastly, not strictly a custom here but it made me chuckle non-the-less... thanks ~ironskull~

Future Dr and a little mushroom

Bluebard has put together a little future Dr (Doctor Who) vig of an alien fishmonger stand which is pretty neat, there are more pictures on his flickr photostream. Also found this picture which is an alley vig and I love the detail on the wall... big Mario fan here (o:

Also lovin the inhabitants of this ally too!

Oh Zeus!

Sometimes everything just comes together to make an awesome custom or moc. Here the nice combos on the figure are enhanced by the shot and post production effects. I'm lovin it Legoagogo!

More customs... (mostly)

Zombie Killer from MAKBRICKS. Can't quite put my finger on why I like this guy... maybe it's the use of the Haz-Mat hood or maybe it's just because he looks like he's seen a lot of zombie related action.

I know nothing about Cobra really and these minifigs are a little rough around the edges but it kinda works. I always like to see people unafraid to use decals and cut lego, although in this case maybe Power Miner helmets might have worked just as well? Thanks go to John_0515, who also has a couple of other nice things on his flickr photostream.

YES! Thank you andertoons! I don't know why I didn't think of this when I saw the series 5 Lizard/Dino man... awesome use of the new parts. I'm a total sucker for superhero related stuff.

Another nice custom from ~amadgunslinger~ here, I particularly like the detailling on the vest. I know how hard it is to paint on this scale.

There is nothing I love more than Lego Star Wars (pehaps untill Lego Superheroes comes along) and so I love this rendition of the Jedi Council chamber thanks to Lego.Skrytsson... oh... it just makes me need to go on Bricklink to get those Jedi I am missing.... but alas, I have to wait till another payday (o:

Friday catch up

Hello... lets round up some more customs!

Quite a nice little custom Mandalorian here from Detroitika, I quite like the painting on the jetpack.

I am loving how many people are making use of the new Dino/lizard parts from the collectable minifig series 5. Here we see some medievial themed figs from Mebumm.

Colonel Clown, featured on Fine Clonier's flickr photostream. He really freaks me out! Check out the flickr page for more info on the custom and the comic in which he stars.

Some nice stripes on this minifig... just need to take care removing the tape so no paint gets pulled. This is brought to you by ~Amadgunslinger~

Nice decal design on this Fleur Delacour minifig, shame the printing of it isn't better but bricktastic.com should be pleased with the design. Check out the flickr photostream for more customs.
